Committee members Jim Harrington and Craig Snook are anxious to serve. There are no active projects with the committee except that Craig will contact our landscape contractor to get irrigation data from them. Also, at the pond the weeds near the road need to be removed this summer when the pond level gets much lower. http://www.sawyerranch.com/default.php The Landscape Committee headed up by Director Lois Delifus is moving forward with developing plans for adding new landscaping to both of our entrances and the island on Hick Finn Trail (one with a large tree in the middle of it). Once plans are finalized and bids are obtained, these plans will be submitted to the Board for approval. http://www.sawyerranch.com/default.php?action=fullnews&showcomments=1&id=20 On Saturday, March 6th our Amenity Center Committee (Alan Hutchinson, Bob Washington and Leroy Churchill) met. The committee will recommend to the Board the following: The playground area is in dire need of mulch as we have never added any mulch since the playground area was developed. Bids will be sent out via Alliance to find the best price. A sidewalk from the parking lot to the playground would benefit those families with strollers. Presently, it's like an obstical course for the mothers to navigate down the steps through the pool area and into the playground area. The committee will look into using crushed granite in lieu of concrete to reduce costs. Alliance will seek bids on this project also. This item may be delayed until 2011 due to lack of available monies. http://www.sawyerranch.com/default.php Our Architectural Committee has really been busy lately with requests for swimming pools and new homes.
